What is Lestari Sayang Anak?

I am currently working with Lestari Sayang Anak, an orphanage in Jakarta. There are currently 10 children in the orphanage, ranging from 13-18 years old. The orphanage provides them with food, housing, clothes, and education at a local school!

What is the project about and how can I support them?

This is a project I started in August 2024, and wanted to do it as a way to give back to my local community! All the money from selling my patterns and any coffee donations will be donated! You can buy my patterns through my kofi! The goal is currently set at $600! (used to be $500 but why not increase it!)As of 9 May 2025, we have reached the halfway mark of $300 dollars (IDR 5,100,000)!! Please read everything below before commissioning or ordering from me. By ordering from me, you understand and agree to these terms.Commissions1. How the commissioning process works
  a. Contact me through email ([email protected]) or Instagram DM (@mischyknots) and let me know what product you want and include any details for it! It can be entirely new, or something I have made before. The more details, photos, or inspiration, the better. For products I have made before shown on my Instagram, if the product is still with me, I can send you that specific one!
  b. I will review your order and decide if I can fulfill the order, and contact you through Instagram DM or email within 2-3 business days.
  c. I will ask for a deposit of 50%, which is required to secure a slot for your commission.
  d. I will provide photos of the progress, in which adjustments can be made if you ask. Please be clear on what needs to be changed and how. Some adjustments may not be possible given the progress, its structure, or placement, so each change you ask for will be adjusted according to the product or item.
  e. The process can take up to 2 weeks (depending on size/detail/materials), notwithstanding any issues with adjustments or changes from point 1(d).2. Products I can make

  a. Any form of clothing (cardigans, beanies, pouches, etc.)4. Pricing
  a. Any product made with cotton milk yarn that is 5 ply (using a 2.20mm hook) with a height of around 9-10cm may range from IDR70,000-250,000 (US$4.22-15), depending on the level of detail, sewing, or unique items on the product.
  b. Products that are smaller in size do not necessarily mean they are cheaper, though the kind of yarn used also plays a big part in pricing.5. Disclaimer
  a. Most plushies are not safe for small children or pets due to external hardware such as safety eyes, beads, or buttons. These things can be a choking hazard. Nonetheless, you can request felt eyes instead, though it still may not be suited for rough play and can be a delicate art piece (depending on the product).6. Refunds
  a. A refund may be requested before a shipment has been made. Refunds do not include the deposit referred to in point 1(c).Shipping and Delivery7. General terms and conditions
  a. The buyer must provide the seller (mischyknots) with:
    i. a complete and valid delivery address;
    ii. a complete and valid email address;
    iii. a complete and valid phone number.
  b. The buyer is obligated to pay for the shipping costs on their own.
  c. The seller (mischyknots) is not responsible for any lost or damaged items/packages caused by:
    i. incorrect entry of address after ordering and before the shipment is made;
    ii. any postal/delivery services mishandling or misplacing the packages.8. Domestic Shipping (within Indonesia)
  a. Packages can be sent through JNE, Grab, or Gojek, depending on the location of the buyer and what the buyer wants.9. International Shipping (outside Indonesia)
  a. Packages are to be sent using EMS International (Express Mail Service).
  b. Orders must be under 30kg (kilograms) to use EMS. This, however should not be an issue because crochet products are usually only about 100-300g (grams).
